Homeland Insurance Company was licensed to transact Workers' Compensation insurance and Property and Casualty insurance in California, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia and Guam. The company was placed into conservation after it was determined that its Workers' Compensation insurance business in Texas and Oklahoma made the company insolvent. Over $30 million dollars in total early access distributions were made to the California, Oklahoma and Texas Insurance Guaranty Associations.
A final distribution and all other closing activities were completed in December 2004. The court proceeding was terminated and the estate closed on December 20, 2004.
